  • Cuts timed and made to protect plant health, not just looks

  • Easy to add onto a recurring maintenance visit
Hedge & Shrub Trimming

Many shrubs have a right and a wrong time to be cut. Prune a spring bloomer late and you lose next year's flowers, and shearing everything into tight shapes leaves thin, woody plants with bare centers. We shape for a clean line while keeping cuts light enough that plants stay full.

Oak wilt is a real threat across Travis and Hays counties, so we follow the standard Texas guidance: no oak pruning from February through June, and fresh cuts painted right away when work cannot wait. It is a small detail that protects the mature trees that make so many South Austin yards.

Answers

Hedge & Shrub Trimming: common questions

When should hedges be trimmed?
Most hedges do well with a shaping once or twice in the growing season. Spring flowering shrubs are best cut right after they bloom. We will time it so you do not lose flowers or stress the plant.
Do you trim trees too?
We handle shrubs, hedges, and light tree trimming within reach from the ground. For large limbs or full canopy work we will point you to a certified arborist, and we never prune oaks in the February through June oak wilt window.
Will you haul off the clippings?
Always. Trimmings are bagged and removed as part of the job. We do not leave a pile behind.
